This is an addition to a previously published monograph of the Texanitinae (MATSUMOTO, 1970). A new species of Texanites is described on the basis of a recently obtained specimen from about the middle of the Santonian in the Oyubari district, central Hokkaido. It is allied to Texanites (Texanites) hourcqui CoLLIGNON, from the Middle Santonian of Madagascar, but is distinguished by its rursiradiate, distant ribs, inequidistant configuration of tubercles and diverging deep branches of L in the suture. As an appendix, notes are given on the biostratigraphic subdivision and correlation of the Santonian primarily on the grounds of texanitine species.
